Behold, an LJ!
Jul. 17th, 2004 11:18 pmGiven that all my past efforts at keeping a journal have faded into nothingness, this may be doomed. Yet onward! Besides, it could be fun. :-)
Just got back from Asheville, visiting my aunt and uncle who have a small antiques business. They're taking a trip to a show in Martha's Vineyard--moving up in the world! May their fame and fortune spread, and may I get to go with them the next time their buying takes them to England. Didn't do much, just talked a lot and discovered a great bookstore/coffee shop called Malaprop's. I sat at a table, drank a mocha (except they called it a Choclaccino; I won't argue), and read Ray Bradbury. There's no better way to spend a day.
As soon as I figure out this coding deal, I'll post links to a few good sites, and to my handful of fanfiction pieces. They cover several fandoms--Buffy, Angel, Alias, LOtR, and a few crossovers--and I've gotten feedback on several of them, which warms the cockles of my heart (hint, hint!). If anyone out there can help a seriously computer-impaired newbie, I would appreciate it, and will repay you by writing a ficlet in which you smooch the character of your choice. ;-)
