So my car failed to start this morning. Again. Battery so low that even my trusty little jump kit couldn't do the job.
And I have had it.
After I texted Aveline and Anders to let them know I'd be late again, texted Yeats because he worries if he doesn't see my Gchat icon pop up, and called AAA and arranged for a jump, I looked up the nearest Acura dealership and called them. I may have infodumped all over the poor service guy I spoke to in a moment of sheer frustration, but I was able to schedule a diagnostic for first thing Thursday morning. I am 99% sure this is the starter issue I have read about online that affects a lot of Acuras made in the same year as mine, and if it is, they should (as the manufacturers) be able to fix it. And if it's a day-long process, they can bloody well give me a loaner car too, for as long as I've been putting up with this issue.
My parents have already offered to pay the cost of the repairs, since the car was my dad's first, and he feels guilty for giving it to me with no inkling this starter issue was going to be such a problem. I'll wait and see what the repair totals are before saying yes, but it's very dear of them to offer.
Even coming in ninety minutes late, I'm mostly caught up. Now for busy work, like mailing office Christmas cards.
