*takes deep, cleansing breaths*
I will be polite to the ex-client. She is making a reasonable request.
I will be polite to the ex-client, even though she called twice yesterday with addenda to her request.
I will be teeth-grittingly polite to the ex-client while she asks questions about submitting paperwork I know nothing about.
If she calls back again, I will ever so politely remind her that she still owes a substantial bill, which she dramatically refused to pay after she decided Aveline didn't get her enough in her divorce settlement, and if she wants any legal advice from us, she needs to pay that bill.
And then I will go into the file room, shut the door, and scream in frustration for a while. It's 9:30am, and I already feel like I've earned a glass of wine and something chocolate tonight.
