Yeats attended a con solo in Baltimore this weekend, since there was laundry and other house-related stuff that needed doing. Despite the nasty weather, he sold sixteen books in four hours! Probably could've sold more, but the con ended early when a power line went down nearby (due to said nasty weather) and the power in the con location had to be shut off so they could fix the line. Still, we cannot be unhappy with those numbers, plus I got to eat dinner with him, as opposed to both of us scavenging fast food as best we could.

Am very tired. Westley has taken to clambering over us both in the night, trying to find juuuuust the right spot to settle down, and 14 pounds of clambering cat landing on my chest wakes me right up. I also learned last night while talking with my mom that two longtime family friends died last year, and so there's some delayed grief to work through. There's nothing I could have done (illness and age, in both their cases), but I didn't know. Now I know they're not here, and I feel the lack.

Slow, grey Monday...and I have got to stop making snarky comments out loud, I almost got overheard by a client again. No matter how exasperated I may get, these are still our clients, and I need to be respectful. I am also an adult person, not Regina George, and fetch is never going to happen, and being bitchy is never going to be cool.
